YAM DESSERT SQUARES
CRUST:
1 pkg. (less 1 c.) yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 egg
FILLING:
3 c. (24 oz. can) yams, mashed
1 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk
TOPPING:
1 c. cake mix
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. allspice
2/3 tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter
1 c. pecans (optional)

Method of cooking Yam dessert recipe


Grease 9 x 13 pan. Reserve 1 cup cake mix. Mix crust ingredients and press into pan. Mix filling ingredients and pour over crust. Mix topping and sprinkle over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool and cut into squares or serve hot.
