Alu Vada
Ingredients for Broadleaf arrowhead recipes
broadleaf arrowhead /Potatoes - 4 Medium sizes
Onion - 1 Medium size (finely chopped)
Peas - 1/4th cup
Green Chillies - 3 (finely chopped)
Little Coriander leaves
Mint leaves
2 tsp Red Chilli powder
Cornflour 1 tbsp.
Salt
Gram flour - 150gm.
Soda a pinch
Water - 1cup
Oil to deep fry
1. Potatoes boiled, peeled and finely mashed.
2. All ingredients except gram flour, soda and water put into mashed
potatoes and mix well.
3. Make balls of even size. Make about 10-12.
4. Make batter with gram flour, soda, salt and water.
5. Heat oil to deep fry.
6. Dip every ball into batter and fry in hot oil on medium and low
till crisp and light brown.
7. Drain it on kitchen paper.
8. Serve hot with Green and Tamarind Chutneys or Tomato Sauce.
