Pickles at Ted's Montana Grill How to prepare
Montana grill cucumber recipe Ingredients
24 pickles med size
12 onions 1 c salt 8 quarts water 1 quart vinegar 2 c water 2 c sugar
1 tablespoon sugar 1 tablespoon turmeric 2 teaspoon celery seed 2
teaspoon mustard seed
wash clean and slice cucumbers peel and slice onions soak cucumber and onions 2 hours in salt brine made with the water drain then combine vinegar sugar & turmeric & celery &mustard seed and bring to a boil take off the heat add the cucumbers and onions bring to a boil 10 minutes then put into jars
sour cucumber pickles
wash 1/2 bushel of cucumbers sprinkle with 2 c salt and cover with
boiling water let it stand for 24 hours then drain & repeat 2
times
the 4th day place the cucumbers in a jar 1/2 t brown sugar ground
cinnomon & ground cloves and 1 teaspoon horseradish then fill
the jar with cold vinegar and then seal the jars
