Fresh Squash And Onion Recipe Cooking method
Fresh Squash And Onion Ingredients:
2 lb Squash; yellow
1 md Onion; finely chopped
1/2 ts Salt;
ds Sugar;*
1/2 c Water
2 tb Butter (or marg.); melted
Fresh Squash And Onion Instructions:
* Use your favorite sugar substitute Wash squash and cut into 1-1/2"
slices.
Place in saucepan with onion, salt, and sugar; add 1/2 cup water.
Cover tightly and steam about 10 minutes.
Add butter and stir gently.
Food Exchange per serving: 1 vegetable exchange, (make it work) NO'S
NOTE: This would be excellent way to fix squash for the diabetic.
All so I would cut down on the margarine.
