How to cook APPLE & SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE
Sliced sweet potato recipe Ingredients
6 med. sweet potatoes
4 Golden Delicious Apples, peeled, sliced
1/4 c. pecans, chopped
3 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. butter, melted
Boil sweet potatoes in lightly salted water 30 to 35 minutes until
tender. Drain, cool and remove skins. Slice into 1 1/2 inch slices.
Grease a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Alternate layers of sliced sweet
potatoes and apples, sprinkling each layer with nuts, cinnamon, brown
sugar and butter. Arrange layer of apples over top and bake, covered,
at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove cover and continue baking 25
minutes longer. Serves 6 to 8.
