Healthy tomato sauce recipe ingredients
4 Tbsp olive oil
1 bay leaf or sprig of sweet basil
1 chopped onion
salt and pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
Saute onion and garlic in oil for 5 minutes; add tomatoes, bay leaf
or basil. Cook to a thick sauce. This will take about 45 minutes.
Add sugar,salt and pepper; stir thoroughly. Simmer 15 minutes. Recipe
makes two cups. Serve with meat loaf, fish, zucchini, eggplant, green
peppers, spaghetti, rice or noodles.
